I
felt I must write and thank you for how much easier you have made the
running or our salons. It has also reduced the time I need to apply
to the salons in order to check bed usage and takings etc. We have the
fully integrated system, and, as this starts and stops the beds I can
be confident that every session is recorded and therefore all monies
accounted for.
We operate several salons and to go to a computerised system was a big
decision. We started in one salon and the ease with which the girls
picked the system up was incredible. At anytime I can look at what should
be in the till. I can be confident this is correct, as everything including
stock goes through the computer. At any one time I am now able to see
exactly what stocks of products we have, this really helps with re-ordering.
We then decided to put the software into another salon, this went so
well we now have the system in all our salons. I am now able to dial
in from home and see exactly how each salon is operating. For the girls
in the salon, the end of shift changeover is so easy, they just click
and print a report that tells them how much money etc there is. The
money is always right, as the computer also tells the girls how much
change to give. Previously the end of shift could take half an hour
adding all the minutes and money from the manual system, this has reduced
my wages bill drastically as each girl hands over to the next straight
away, this is a substantial saving if you have two shifts a day and
a few salons.
We also have nail bars in the Salons and have incorporated these onto
the appointment diary system. This also goes through the integrated
box and controls the Nail Light, therefore no treatments can commence
without being entered onto the system.
With the flexibility of the on screen diary book, we are able to fill
in more sessions during an hour. This is because we can easily bunch
up and back to back appointments, neatly and without crossing out etc
and therefore keeping an accurate record. This has helped increase the
turnover.
I would confidently recommend the Salon Management Software to anyone,
even if they had no computer experience

We are a long established Hair, Beauty and tanning salon and used
a manual system for appointments, stock control, customer records
etc which was time consuming and inefficient. Record cards would go
missing, become tatty and bulky causing endless problems. The cards
were a constant problem and as we have clients who have treatments
in all departments, cards were not consolidated and it was almost
impossible to see exactly all the treatments or stock the clients
have had. The card boxes took up huge amounts of space and always
looked messy
Stock losses were a constant problem and free use of the sunbed was
nearly impossible to trace
I realised I must do something to improve the efficiency and overall
control however I had little computer experience and most of my staff
none. It was therefore essential to find a system that was easy to
understand and use.
I found other systems more difficult to use than Total Salon Management
which we all soon found very easy to use, it controls all equipment,
stock, appointments and client records and gives useful and informative
management reports.
So much time is saved, efficiency in all areas has improved, sunbeds
are controlled, stock loss is virtually non-existent, stock control
and re-ordering is so much easier.
I really don’t know how we managed for so long with our manual
system and would recommend Total Salon Management to anyone who wishes
to improve the running of their salon of their salon.

Re Total Salon Management computer program
I have operated a tanning salon in Scarborough for 8 years and
during that time all our salon records were kept on a card index
system. This system worked fine but was slow and sometimes difficult
to find customer cards, it all so took up valuable space in an
already crowded reception area.
The salon has ten beds and at busy times our manual system sometimes
meant that customers were kept waiting. It was clear to us that
we needed a modern system to manage our salon. As this was a major
decision we to time to look at as many computerised management
systems as we could. Nothing seemed to fit the bill and seemed
cumbersome to learn and operate. We were quite worried that our
staff may find it difficult as most had no computer experience
at all, but we were delighted that within the first 30 minutes
of your training session that they all seemed to be able to operate
confidently.
Initially it did take some time to enter on all our old customer
records but we decided to use this as an exercise to update the
accuracy of all addresses. We particularly liked that we could
enter just a postcode and the computer filled in all the address
details, this saved us so much time. We also liked that when the
girls enter customer information all details are automatically
capitalised in the correct places. We now do mail shots to our
customers and all labels and letters printed look really professional.
We now run all stock on the computer and we no longer have to
put those ugly price stickers on the products as the computer
is always up to date with prices and really assist with re-ordering.
All in all clients are managed in seconds and we no long need
to remember to turn beds on as now all happens automatically.
We can always answer any questions clients may ask – “what
lotion did I use last time”, “how many minutes have
I got left”, we look really professional
The reports give us all the information we need and if I just
drop in I can see exactly what has happed in the day, I can even
see exactly what money has been taken and what stock has been
sold at ant time.
The “end of day” cash up report is particularly liked
by my staff as this has changed a job which took so long into
a job done in minutes.
I felt I would just drop you a line to let you know our progress
and to say how delighted we are with all aspects of your product,
in the New Year we intend to upgrade our other two salons.
